Birchview Cabin, satellite location of the Stone & Sky Music & Art Series present Artist Resident, Shannon Kingsbury PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION Shannon’s Culture Days performance will feature the synthesis of voice and harp through both improvised and composed music, inspired by and in collaboration with the land.

Throughout the day, visit the working art studio of visual artist Tina Newlove and see vibrant artworks in progress. Tina Newlove, she/her, is a multi-discipline visual artist working primarily in oils from her Campbellville studio on the Treaty Lands of the Mississauga’s of the Credit First Nation. She graduated with BFA Honours from McMaster University in 1996 and has exhibited across Canada in public and commercial galleries and in artist-run centres. Tina was the designer and lead for a 33' mural, permanently displayed in the new foyer of the Milton District Hospital, depicting the Milton escarpment. Her work is in the City of Toronto’s Permanent Collection, is part of the City of Hamilton’s Public Art Walk Project and is in private collections internationally. In addition to her studio practice, Tina regularly collaborates via live performance painting with bands and musicians. Enjoy a beautiful walk in the labyrinth.
